This series was made to accompany the song, "HAC" that Charlandjuna wrote in response to the worsened alienation that one experiences with their body especially during the long wait to be admitted to the emergency room at the hospital. Frightened and in pain yet with no explanation to why she is suffering, Charlandjuna has paid countless visits with her chronic illness and traumatic psychosis overlooked by the medical system. We aim to address such solitude through this project by constructing a nest that our minds can rest quietly within despite the agony that we are often told to normalize both physically and mentally. As we developed the project, we decided to take an intuitive approach with Charlandjuna dancing to repeatedly and that I used a black and white filmstock with low ISO to record her traces—sharp and blurry—accompanied by the cast shadows translated as some sort of negative space.
